India has qualified to the Group-I of the Fed Cup as India dumped Malaysia 3-0 in Group A of the Asia/Oceanic Group II of the Fed Cup in Kuala Lumpur.
India dominated in all three matches against Malaysia including two singles and one doubles match as they won all matches without even losing a single set.
Poojashree Venkatesha gave India 1-0 lead as India’s no. 2 outplayed Chin-Bee Khoo in straight sets by 6-1, 6-1. Sania Mirza extended the lead to 2-0 after she thrashed Jawairiah Noordin 6-1 ,6-1 in the second women’s singles match.
